The Omar Dengo Foundation depends on grants from international organizations, cooperation agencies, foundation, and governments to finance and execute the majority of its projects and initiatives. It also depends on the donations made by private business owners and other individuals to guarantee its economic independence, which allows it to continue generating new ideas that have the potential to transform the country’s educational panorama.
We are in the process of developing the technological platform for online donations. We hope to go live by mid 2009. In the meantime, please contact us for alternate payment options
All donors will be recognized on our site, in the section entitled “Our Donors”. They will also receive invitations to our upcoming events. All donors at the Diamond, Gold, and Silver levels will also receive recognition through our donor wall, located on our campus.
All donations made to the Omar Dengo Foundation are tax-deductible according to the following guidelines:
Law 7092, subsection 8, states that “all donations properly proven to be destined towards the public good, scientific, or cultural activities during the respective fiscal period” are tax deductible.
Costa Rican Internal Revenue Service Memorandum I-041-99 dictates that it “…authorizes the Omar Dengo Foundation to receive tax-deductible donations from both comercial and prívate persons”.
The Omar Dengo Foundation is committed to its donors, who we consider part of the ODF family. We guarantee complete confidentiality of donor information. This information will be stored in our donor bank and will only be used to notify donors of future ODF events and campaigns, as well as other valuable information.
